Job description

About the Role

Fivetran is seeking a strategic, highly credible, and experienced Vice President of Investor Relations to lead and scale our investor relations function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will be the primary liaison between Fivetran and the investment community. You will communicate our financial performance, strategic vision, and long-term growth narrative to current and prospective investors, analysts, and stakeholders, while ensuring transparency, consistency, and alignment with our executive and financial strategy.

This high-visibility role will partner cross-functionally with the CEO, COO, CFO, and executive leadership to drive investor engagement, prepare financial communications, and shape external perception of Fivetran.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Oakland, CA, or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

  • Build and lead the Investor Relations function, establishing strategy, processes, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and key external stakeholders.
  • Craft and deliver the investment narrative, aligning messaging with business performance, financial results, and long-term vision.
  • Lead quarterly earnings preparation and calls, including financial scriptwriting, Q&A prep, and analyst engagement.
  • Partner with the CFO and VP of Finance & Strategy to translate complex financial data into compelling investor communications.
  • Own investor marketing strategies, including non-deal roadshows, investor days, and conferences.
  • Monitor and report investor sentiment, peer benchmarks, and market trends to inform executive strategy.
  • Ensure all public financial disclosures meet regulatory standards and reflect company performance accurately.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Communications, and Finance to manage disclosure processes and compliance.
  • Support strategic finance activities, including fundraising, public company readiness, and M&A communications.

Skills We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, corporate finance, or strategic communications, ideally within high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
  • Deep understanding of financial modeling, SaaS metrics (ARR, retention, CAC, LTV, etc.), and capital markets.
  • Experience engaging with public investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling investor narratives and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Strong EQ and executive presence; can represent Fivetran confidently with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills-clear, concise, and credible across mediums and audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize financial and strategic insights into actionable messaging.
  • IPO experience or late-stage private company readiness preferred.
  • Experience navigating media and public market scrutiny.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Finance, Legal, Comms, and the C-Suite.
