Job Title: Investor Relations Intern
Department: Investor Relations
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Full-Time, 8 weeks, In office, Summer 2027
Position Overview:
Are you interested in real estate investing, finance, and building relationships with investors? Join Grubb Properties as an Investor Relations Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the team responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our investors. You'll gain exposure to investor communications, reporting, fund documentation, and the day-to-day operations behind investor relations at a real estate investment management company.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Investor Database Management: Help maintain accurate investor contact and account information in internal systems.
  2. Investor Reporting: Assist with quarterly and annual reporting, including investor statements and other communications.
  3. Investor Documentation: Help organize and maintain investor files and fund-related materials.
  4. Investor Communications: Assist with preparing investor letters and communications related to capital calls, distributions, and other updates.
  5. Account Support: Assist with reviewing investor documentation for completeness and help keep investor records up to date.
  6. Reporting & Tracking: Support internal reporting and help track investor commitments and capital raised.
  7. Investor Transactions: Assist with documentation and record updates related to investor transactions and account changes.
  8. Team Support: Collaborate with the Investor Relations team on day-to-day responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in investments, real estate, and/or investor relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while managing assigned responsibilities independently.
  • Knowledge of investment terminology and financial reporting is preferred but not required.
