Shift: 3rd (10:00pm - 7:00am Sunday Night through Friday Morning)
Base Hourly Wage: $26.00 - $34.00
Plus Shift Premium: 20%

Job Summary Manufacturing Team Lead
As a Manufacturing Team Lead, your primary role is managing resources; operators, equipment and materials. You will be responsible for flow of work through the shop and technical training of operators. In addition, the role requires the ability to operate all machinery, and perform the most complex machining, set-ups, and programming.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Team Lead
Leadership & Support
  • Lead daily production activities and support operators.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Promote safety, quality, teamwork, and company values.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are safe and ready for use.

Technical Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform machining and production tasks to required specifications and tolerances.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Serve as a technical resource and team leader for operators.
  • Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with VSM.
  • Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Ability to operate, set-up, and program all machinery in the department.
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Work Environment Manufacturing Team Lead
  • This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
