Description:

Cadrex is seeking a hands-on, operationally minded Site Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for our Mukilteo, WA manufacturing facility. This role is critical to supporting financial reliability, operational decision-making, and profitable growth within a smaller high-mix precision manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the BU CFO and partnering closely with the Plant Manager, the Site Controller will own the site P&L, monthly close, standard costing, forecasting support, and local finance processes while helping operations leaders understand the financial impact of business decisions. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and problem solver who can work effectively through real manufacturing complexity, legacy systems, and evolving processes while helping support future ERP improvements and Epicor implementation activities.

  • Maintain strong account reconciliations, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Lead and support local finance/accounting personnel while driving accountability and process discipline across transactional and general accounting activities.
  • Support site cash flow forecasting, working capital visibility, and coordination with BU finance on cash-related risks and opportunities.
  • Support annual audits, reporting requirements, and other finance deliverables as needed.

Operational Partnership-

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Plant Manager and site leadership team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, engineering, quality, customer service, and sales teams.
  • Participate in plant operating rhythms and shop floor engagement to understand operational performance and business drivers.
  • Translate operational issues into financial impact and support practical, data-driven decision making.
  • Support pricing, quoting, margin reviews, inventory actions, labor planning, and profitability improvement initiatives.

Planning, Costing & Process Improvement-

  • Lead site budgeting, forecasting, and monthly outlook support in partnership with the BU.
  • Own and maintain the standard cost process, including variance analysis and refinement.
  • Monitor inventory, reserves, working capital, and capital spending performance.
  • Help improve financial visibility and reporting within an older ERP environment while balancing precision, practicality, and business needs.
  • Support future ERP implementation and process improvement activities, including testing, validation, and adoption of improved workflows.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE-

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, standard costing, inventory, margin analysis, and financial controls.
  • Experience in precision machining, aerospace & defense, medical, or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and solve business problems using financial and operational data.
