Position Summary

Thales has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Controller to be in charge of plant (personalization center) financials: participating in month-end close activities, ensuring accurate financial data and inventory valuation, preparing on-time KPI's reporting, leading budget and forecast processes at plant level. Working closely with plant management team and corporate manufacturing controlling, you will play a critical role in driving financial discipline, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making within the manufacturing environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Month End Close 20%

- Preparation of manufacturing related Journal entries (facilities and indirect cost reallocation, inventory, perso variances reclassification, accruals).

- Manufacturing expenses (manex) and absorption analysis and correction journals if necessary.

- Material variances (PPV, IVA, Scrap/Obso) follow-up and analysis and correction journals if necessary.

- Inventory valuation - variance analysis and inventory reclassification as per corporate guidelines.

Financial Reporting 15%

- KPI's reports for Plant Management.

- Monthly closing package for corporate manufacturing controller, including volumes, headcount/productivity, inventory, manex gap analysis and Perso P&L.

- Ad-hoc reports and analysis.

Budgeting and forecasting 10%

- Leading yearly plant budget exercise (on top of Manex including Facilities, Local IT, Capex of the plant).

- Presentation of the budget and load in Anaplan of validated submission. - Leading manufacturing rolling forecasts exercises (several cycles during the year).

- Follow-up on actuals Vs budget / forecast and gap analysis.

Other duties as required - 50%

- Ensure standard costing principles: calculation of hourly rates and update of standard cost in local ERP (Oracle).

- Maintain other financial data set-up in Oracle (direct and indirect cost centers, allocation keys for facilities, IT and indirect).

- Point of contact for Regional BU controller regarding cost of cards personalized in perso center.

- Manufacturing cost control: validate Purchase Request and challenge if necessary.

- Financial Business Partner for local management team: prepare, present and explain the numbers within financial analysis.

- Capex preparation (including payback calculation) and follow-up of plant capex (actuals and forecast).

- Ensure fixed assets valuation, on-time put in service and correct depreciation; lead fixed assets count and manage write down or impairment if necessary.

- Facilitate Stock counts/Asset verification.

- Ensure financial guidelines and policies are respected.

- Point of contact for external and internal auditors (incl. internal control) for areas of responsibility within manufacturing controlling.

Minimum Qualifications

- BA in Finance (or related field) with 5+ years of experience in controlling OR (or related field) with 3+ years of experience in controlling; experience in Manufacturing controlling highly appreciated.

- Abilities - Analytical, problem solving, attention to detail, time management, work under deadlines.

- Interpersonal Skills - Excellent communication, team player, integrity. - Knowledge Manufacturing controlling (standard costing) and accounting principles, knowledge of financial processes of Thales, MS Office, understanding of ERP System, experience in Oracle an asset, Power BI.

- Occasional travel required.
