Job description

Foodservice Equipment Sales Representative

Location: Miami-Dade County, FL (South Florida Territory)
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

About the Opportunity

An established custom stainless steel fabrication manufacturer is seeking a Foodservice Equipment Sales Representative to drive business development and project acquisition throughout South Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who understands the commercial foodservice industry and enjoys building relationships, identifying projects early, and turning opportunities into long-term business partnerships.

The organization designs and manufactures custom stainless-steel solutions for restaurants, hospitality groups, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, stadiums, and other commercial kitchen environments. With significant investments in advanced fabrication technology and manufacturing capabilities, the company is focused on expanding its market presence and increasing project volume across the region.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities and building relationships with foodservice equipment dealers, manufacturers' representatives, consultants, architects, designers, contractors, and end users. The successful candidate will work closely with estimating, engineering, and production teams to identify project opportunities, provide solutions, and secure new business.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative selling, has strong industry relationships, and is motivated by developing new accounts rather than simply maintaining existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy throughout South Florida.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial foodservice and institutional markets.
  • Build relationships with foodservice equipment dealers, manufacturers' representatives, consultants, architects, designers, contractors, and key decision-makers.
  • Engage with customers during the early stages of project development to position the company for project awards.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, kitchen layouts, and bid documents.
  • Collaborate with estimating and engineering teams to develop custom solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Present product capabilities and fabrication solutions to prospective clients and partners.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, meetings, proposals, negotiations, and project awards.
  • Maintain regular customer contact through site visits, industry networking, and relationship-building activities.
  • Track opportunities, sales activities, and project pipelines to ensure consistent business growth.
  • Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience selling commercial foodservice equipment, kitchen solutions, or related industry products.
  • Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, foodservice operations, and stainless-steel fabrication applications.
  • Experience working with foodservice dealers, manufacturers' representatives, consultants, architects, contractors, or institutional customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, kitchen layouts, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and relationship-driven sales.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing a territory independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout South Florida.
  • Residence within the Miami-Dade County area or surrounding market.
Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are highly encouraged to apply:

  • Commercial kitchen equipment sales
  • Foodservice equipment manufacturing
  • Stainless steel fabrication solutions
  • Hospitality and institutional kitchen projects
  • Architectural or construction product sales
  • Design-build foodservice projects
  • Dealer and consultant relationship management
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary
  • Additional incentive and performance-based earning opportunities
  • Health benefits package
  • Paid vacation and company holidays
  • Mileage reimbursement for business travel
  • Product and industry training
  • Long-term growth opportunities within an expanding manufacturing organization
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional who enjoys opening doors, developing relationships, and creating opportunities from the ground up. They understand the commercial foodservice market, are comfortable discussing technical solutions, and thrive in an environment where performance, accountability, and customer relationships drive success.
