The applicants responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at renovating, repairing, and maintaining rental units to ensure they meet high-quality standards and provide a comfortable living environment for tenants.

Primary Responsibilities

    • Complete assigned maintenance and repair tasks according to schedule while providing friendly and professional service
      • Includes but not limited to painting, flooring replacement, fixture installation, minor carpentry, HVAC maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, replace appliances
    • Document work performed and update work orders accordingly in AppFolio
      • Timely submission of receipts
      • Properly record hours on work orders
    • Communicate issues, parts required, and follow-ups to Coordinators and Office

Secondary Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine inspections and suggest preventative maintenance and equipment improvements
    • Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner to prevent accidents and injuries
    • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after hours emergencies, to address critical issues and minimize disruptions for residents


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in renovation, repair, and maintenance work, preferably in a rental property or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independetly with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and fellow team members.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts to address urgent maintenance needs.
  • Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks that may involve lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and navigating confined spaces.
