Job Summary:

Advanced Housekeeping Inspectors are responsible for ensuring guestrooms are cleaned in accordance with Vail Resorts/Grand Teton Lodge Company Brand Standards by conducting daily inspections of approximately 30-45 guestrooms. Inspectors are responsible for overseeing the work of approximately 4-6 housekeepers each day, ensuring quality and efficient standards are met. Advanced Housekeeping Inspectors must keep management informed of housekeeper performance and cleanliness trends. Additionally, Inspectors regularly interact with guests of the resort and must maintain a polite and professional demeanor.

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $18.75/hr 

  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026 

  • Shift Type: Full Time 

  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring guestrooms are cleaned in accordance with Vail Resorts/Grand Teton Lodge Company Brand Standards by conducting daily inspections of 30-45 guestrooms prior to guest check-in.
  • Oversee the daily work of approximately 4-6 housekeepers, ensuring quality and efficient standards are met.
  • Ensure housekeepers are on track to complete their sections by 4:30pm which may require stripping rooms of linen, terry, and trash and/or making beds.
  • Report out to management daily regarding housekeeper performance, cleanliness trends, etc. and make recommendations regarding recognition, disciplinary action, etc.
  • Maintain communication with the housekeeping office, providing regular updates on room statuses, maintenance work orders, and housekeeper progress.
  • Provide exemplary service to guests of the hotel by anticipating needs, addressing cleanliness concerns, etc.
  • Support department in completing rooms by the 4pm check-in time which may require performing housekeeper and/or houseperson job duties.
  • Assist housekeeping management with special projects as necessary.
  • Must be able to walk outside in all weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years required, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Ability to speak/understand basic English
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong will to make our guests happy and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Ability to check others work and provide honest feedback

Preferred Skills: 

  • Prior housekeeping experience
  • Prior hospitality experience
