Lighting Hardware Finisher

Days/Hours Required: Mon - Friday, 8am-4pm EST

Hourly/Salary: 16.00/hr.

Since that time, the company has grown to become a national, multi-channel retailer of lighting and other home decor products, including rugs, furniture, mirrors, fans, and wall decor. True to its heritage though, the company has remained singularly focus on its curated collection of high-style products and unique lighting designs, many of which are produced in-house by the companyโ€™s own staff of highly trained artisans.

Job Summary

Shades of Light has an opening for a full-time Finisher position in our lighting fabrication shop for bench-made light fixtures. The work is very detail oriented and artistic, and an ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, can work in a team-based environment, and must be comfortable in a production environment and working around hand power tools.

Job Requirements/Expectations:

  • Finishing bench-made lighting fixtures created in our in-house production studio which includes but is not limited to:
  • Using steel wool to scrub finished products
  • Glass Cutting
  • Metal Polishing
  • Assembling Fixtures
  • Wiring
  • Performing quality control checks on all finished products.
  • Packaging all finished products.
  • Performing basic computer tasks including but not limited to:
    1. Looking up and pulling Backorder Reports
    2. Utilizing the Shades of Light website to match finished product to online images to ensure quality and completion.
  • Performing simple cleaning tasks and general studio maintenance.
  • All other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
  • Prior experience in welding, metal working, or with decorative finishes preferred but not required.
