Why do most life insurance agents quit?

Many full-time life insurance customer service agents quit due to high rejection rates, commission-based pay structures, and the challenge of building a steady client base. The job often requires strong communication skills, persistence, and resilience, which can lead to burnout and turnover if expectations are not managed well.

These roles require extensive experience, leadership skills, and often involve overseeing large teams or strategic planning.

For a full-time life insurance customer service role, compensation varies by company, but some of the highest-paying employers include large, well-established insurers such as Northwestern Mutual, New York Life, and MassMutual.
