As of Jun 16, 2026, the average hourly pay for full time life insurance customer service in the United States is $18.80, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.38 and $20.91 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Why do most life insurance agents quit?

Many full-time life insurance customer service agents quit due to high rejection rates, commission-based pay structures, and the challenge of building a steady client base. The job often requires strong communication skills, persistence, and resilience, which can lead to burnout and turnover if expectations are not managed well.

What is the highest paid customer service job?

In customer service roles, senior management positions such as Customer Service Directors or Vice Presidents tend to have the highest salaries, often exceeding six figures annually. These roles require extensive experience, leadership skills, and often involve overseeing large teams or strategic planning.

What is the highest paying life insurance company to work for?

For a full-time life insurance customer service role, compensation varies by company, but some of the highest-paying employers include large, well-established insurers such as Northwestern Mutual, New York Life, and MassMutual. These companies often offer competitive salaries, bonuses, and benefits to attract experienced customer service representatives. Salary levels can also depend on location, experience, and certifications held by the employee.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Full Time Life Insurance Customer Service roles typically do not pay $2000 a day, as they are customer support positions with salaries or commissions that usually range lower. High-paying jobs that can reach this level often include specialized roles such as investment bankers, senior executives, or certain sales positions in finance or real estate, which require extensive experience, skills, and certifications. These roles often involve performance-based compensation, bonuses, or commissions that can significantly increase daily earnings.
