DeLallo is looking for the Early Morning Retail Bread Baker who is responsible for preparing, baking, and merchandising fresh breads and bakery products for daily retail sales. This position ensures high-quality products are available when the store opens while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and company quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, mix, shape, proof, and bake a variety of breads and rolls according to established recipes and production schedules. Monitor dough fermentation, proofing times, and baking temperatures to ensure product consistency and quality. Operate bakery equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, slicers, and proofing equipment. Prepare production quantities to meet customer demand while minimizing waste. Package, label, and stock baked products for retail display. Inspect products for quality, freshness, appearance, and proper labeling. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, utensils, and production areas. Monitor ingredient inventory and notify management of supply needs. Assist customers with bakery orders and product questions when needed. Support other bakery operations and special projects as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous baking, bakery production, food service, or retail experience preferred. Knowledge of bread-making techniques, dough preparation, and baking processes preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
