The Position
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic support staff team. This position will report to practice group Shareholders and Associates for work product prioritization. This job operates in a professional office environment, and this position is expected to work out of the employer's primary office location.

Requirements
Essential responsibilities of the position will include: • Organize, track, and maintain original documents and electronic files in PerfectLaw • Schedule meetings, deadlines, and maintain attorney calendars. • Administrative operations such as trust deposits, check requests, and expense reimbursement • File documents with the courts or other government entities • Compile closing binders/legal documents for transmission to client • Perform initial assessment of project/matter deliverables and requirements • Drafting, proofing, and finalizing legal documents • Compose correspondence/responses that deal with legal subject matter requiring considerable discretion and judgment • Track status of tasks and documents requiring action by client/prospective client • Contact state and federal agencies • Perform records research, review, and analysis • Communicate and meet with clients, as needed
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications: • 5+ years of litigation legal assistance experience • Excellent written and verbal communication • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Must be professional, a self-starter, a and team player • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, various flowcharting programs, performing background searches and public record searches • Familiar with electronic filings with governmental entities and document management systems
