Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable/receivable, and reconcile clients' balance sheet accounts
  • Enter general ledger postings and adjusting journal entries in the system
  • Prepare bank & credit card statements
  • Prepare and edit monthly cash flows
  • Record and enter payroll
  • Interact with vendors, banking relationships and clients
  • Respond to daily client or partner requests
  • Process payroll, gross-up calculations, and timesheet calculations (ADP or Paychex)
  • Prepare and file state and use tax return and property tax forms
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Intercompany reconciliation (Japanese parent- U.S. Subs)
  • Prepare financial statements, cash flow statements, and income statements, operational reports, and forms 1096, 1099 and 1042
  • Coordinate with clients for SOS filings, annual report, registered agent and business license renewals
  • Special projects as assigned partner requests

Starting salary range for this position is between $55-60k, and will be finalized based on the candidate's years of experience and local cost of labor. Please note this is position is non-exempt and full-time.
Remote and or hybrid work arrangements available for this position as long as the individual resides in the U.S.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or related experience
  • Heavy bookkeeping experience, with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, etc.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent client service orientation in both Japanese and English. Written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, projects, and clients with accuracy, dedication, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft Office programs
  • High level working knowledge of QuickBooks and some knowledge of Bill.com
