Job Description:

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to develop the start-up and into mass production strategies for the process and equipment layout for manufacturing process implementation. The primary emphasis will be on safety and efficiencies on the production line and through the plant.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • 4-year college degree in industrial engineering or technology or equivalent experience and education
  • 3 years of related work experience in high-volume, precision assembly processes
  • Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
  • Knowledge of computer programs necessary to perform job duties
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering or related field
  • 5+ years related work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Prior manufacturing experience in precision automotive or medical devices
Position Duties and Responsibilities / Time Spent:
  • New Model Development: Participate in the development of new model process line layouts and warehousing planning to support material flow, focusing on safety, ergonomics and efficiencies for manpower, machines, method and materials.: 30%
  • Use standardized techniques for time study including MOST, MTM or MODAPTS to determine standard work methods and establish labor standards, and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in support of material flow.: 30%
  • Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas: 15%
  • Support manufacturing plant VA / VE (Value Add / Value Engineering): 10%
  • Provide guidance and direction to other associates: 5%
  • Support cross-training efforts sharing information, develop processes, etc: 5%
  • Other duties as assigned: 5%
