CAD Designer / Drafter - Illustrated Parts List Creator
SUMMARY:
With our flagship brands of Simpson, AAA, OEM, and Delco, as well as many licensed partner brands, FNA Group is a world class manufacturer and industry leader of pressure washers and other outdoor power equipment.
We are currently seeking an Industrial CAD Designer / Drafter to create Illustrated Parts Lists (IPLs) to support our breadth of products sold into the market. In this role, you will work closely with our product and engineering teams. Using SolidWorks and our PDM system, you will create the IPLs needed for service technicians to reference for the service parts needed for repairing many different models and types of machines.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a dynamic environment and is looking to get established in a manufacturing company in a technical role adjacent to engineering, which can lead to advancement and more formal roles on our engineering teams.
NOTE: This position is 100% onsite. Only candidates than can commit to a full time schedule onsite will be considered. Also no visa sponsorship is available.
Job Description:
Work with bills of materials (BOMs), internal parts routings, write engineering change requests (ECR), write engineering change orders (ECO), use SolidWorks, MAS / SAGE 500 software, and utilize product data management (PDM) software to create illustrated parts lists (IPLs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Access existing 3D models via PDM.
  • Create 2D IPLs from existing (or by creating) 3D SolidWorks models.
  • Read, edit, modify, and/or create BOMs.
  • Create parts routings in MAS / SAGE 500.
  • Write ECRs and/or ECOs.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Strong mechanical intuition.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks 3D modeling and detailing.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks PDM.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software; with excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Logical thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong desire to learn.

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in a multi-channel retail business/industry is a plus.

Education/Certification:
Required:
High School diploma or GED.
Preferred:
Technical degree in mechanical design or similar discipline, SolidWorks certification, or other similar training and/or certifications.
