Position Summary 

We're looking for a Global Marketing Specialist with specific skills in event marketing, social media and PR to join our rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for communications and a desire to help build the brand for one of the world's most disruptive organizations.


Job Responsibilities 

Event marketing


Raise awareness of Digital Ventures in the USA (specifically supporting our global headquarters in Manhattan Beach) and position the firm as a thought leader in the innovation, venture and product management space across media, social and events

Plan and execute events locally in Manhattan Beach to support Digital Ventures recruitment, drive and position the firm as a company without peer

Develop, manage and nurture partnerships with relevant industry organizations

Collate all required event materials, prepare event schedules, manage event timelines and drive all internal and external communications surrounding each event


Social media


Develop engaging and impactful social media strategies that elevate Digital Ventures' brand awareness globally

Manage BCG Digital Ventures' social media channels globally, in collaboration with regional marketing and recruitment colleagues, across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.

Engage in community building tactics to increase brand awareness and support Digital Ventures ongoing recruitment drive

Monitor and evaluate new platforms, show an understanding of how they are evolving and a point of view on where BCG Digital Ventures needs to be playing in the future

Use experiments and data to improve BCG Digital Ventures' social media engagement and performance, and provide timely reports back to the global marketing team


PR


Work with global marketing team to produce and pitch press releases/company and venture build stories, and enter relevant awards programs

Support BCG Digital Ventures' spokespeople with appropriate and timely briefings and other preparation materials when they are speaking on behalf of the company

Establish and maintain strong and pro-active relationships with media and influencers in the business, technology and innovation media

Write and create content as required for the BCG Digital Ventures' blog, external communications and event related activities

Track Digital Ventures' coverage globally and produce quarterly coverage and activity reports for the Partner group

Basic Job Requirements As a Global Marketing Associate, we are looking for:

BA/BS degree strongly preferred

2-3 years of experience in a similar social media and marketing communications role

Energy and the ability to thrive in a fast paced and ever changing environment

A self-starter with an appetite to learn and an ability to cope with ambiguity

Appreciation of working in a matrix organization with multiple teams and stakeholders

Experience planning, managing, and executing events

Exceptional writing and editing skills

Demonstrated success pitching stories to media outlets and journalists

A strong understanding of branding and reputation management

Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Media, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field a plus

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
