  • Provide positive role modeling and teach appropriate life skills to residents.
  • Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shifts and document patient behavior.
  • Support daily living skills through task assignment, coaching, and supervision.
  • Lead or assist with individual and group activities and programs.
  • Orient patients to the unit and assist with the discharge process.
  • Use verbal de-escalation skills when a resident is agitated.
  • Accompany patients to meals, recreation, education activities, and unit-based programming.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
✅ What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • At least one year of experience in a children’s services program or residential setting, or completion of two years of college coursework in social sciences.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Ability to successfully complete CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention training during New Hire Orientation.
