Required: Prior hands-on experience in Florida probate and/or guardianship administration or equivalent is required.

Probate Paralegal (Ocala, FL)

  • Position Type: Full-Time.
  • Focus: Guardianship Administration.

We are seeking an experienced Guardianship Paralegal to support our legal team in Ocala, FL. This role manages intake files, drafts legal pleadings, coordinates court hearings, and serves as one of the communicators for families and care facilities during the guardianship proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intake & Pleadings: Review the ward's referral file, abstract key data, and draft legal pleadings and court orders.
  • Attorney & Hearing Coordination: Secure probate counsel for petitioners and schedule all court hearings.
  • Document Production: Draft preliminary notices, legal forms, statements, and reports.
  • Communication: Notify care facilities and the internal Supervisor of case progress.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of direct Florida probate and/or guardianship experience (required).
  • Skills: Proficiency with the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and MS Office.
  • Communication: Strong, compassionate written and verbal skills for communicating with families and facilities.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational and docket-management skills.
  • Pay Negotiable base on experience. If you have more than 5 years in the field we can have a conservation.
