Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Haynes Development  — Property Management


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations for all grounds maintenance and landscaping operations at our award winning property at  Quarry Walk in Oxford and across Haynes properties.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of landscape management. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that all properties and grounds are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring proper quality control, communication skills, scheduling and executing tasks required by the Property Manager.   Oversees snowplowing operation and supports the Maintenance Technicians in the winter with inside work orders as necessary.  This position oversees one full-time Grounds Maintenance Technician.   


This role reports to the Facilities and Property Manager.


Responsibilities:

•    Manage landscaping and snow removal contracts and vendor performance

•    Full oversight of all outside maintenance — grounds, walkways, parking areas, exterior common areas

•    Manage the overall operations for property maintenance, quality control, upkeep and logistics for grounds maintenance

•    Supervisor one fulltime Grounds Maintenance Technician and coordinate maintenance activities, including mowing, cleanups, weeding, mulching and pruning services 

 Communicate directly with main office and Property Management staff

•    Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is being performed to acceptable levels

•    Manage vendor relations

•    Respond to weather-related and emergency outdoor conditions

•    Identify, plan, and manage CapEx projects related to outside facilities 

•    Coordinate all budgets and financial planning with the Facilities and Property Manager.  



Requirements:

•    Solid experience managing outside contractors/vendors

•    Working knowledge of grounds maintenance, snow/ice management, CapEx planning, and safety standards

•    Ability to respond to on-call/emergency situations as needed

•    Valid driver's license
