Job description

ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seekinga Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide full-time, on-site Project Support for the Earth Dynamics Geodetic Explorer (EDGE) and Stratosphere Troposphere Response using Infrared Vertically resolved light Explorer (STRIVE) projects at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
  • Proactively interface with all levels of management and project team members to ensure comprehensive support for the Project Office.
  • Manage Outlook calendars for conference rooms and the Project Management team.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, including preparing agendas, confirming attendees, reserving conference rooms, and compiling meeting minutes.
  • Support onboarding of new hires and visitors, including badging coordination and tracking through IDMAX and NAMS.
  • Coordinate travel authorizations and travel vouchers utilizing the Travel Request Tool (TRT).
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and place replenishment orders as needed.
  • Prepare, route, and track official correspondence and document.
  • Submit and manage the Facility Requests using the Management Operations Services and Information (MOSI) System.
  • Submit and manage NASA Access Management System (NAMS) requests.
  • Submit and manage Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) requests for laptops and other IT equipment.
  • Coordinate office moves activities, including phones, computers, office locations, moving supplies, and service requests.
  • Process onboarding and off-boarding requests and ensure appropriate badging requirements are completed.
  • Track, manage, and respond to various project action items.
  • Provide event planning and on-site logistical support for reviews, meetings, and special events.
  • Additional duties as required.

Requirements:
  • Ability to provide full-time on-site support at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, with optional telework on Fridays.
  • Outstanding, proactive customer service skills with the ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide timely solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with professionals at all levels.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet fast-paced reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated ethics, discretion, and professional judgement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Teams features is highly desirable, including creating and managing channels, posts/threads, tabs, and shared workspaces, to support team collaboration and project communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Box file management is highly desirable, including setting and adjusting permissions, uploading and organizing documents, creating and maintaining folder structures, and ensuring appropriate access controls for project teams.
  • Knowledge of GSFC administrative systems, such as eMod, IDMAX, and TRT (Travel Request Tool) is highly desirable.
  • Must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-4 years of experience or 7-8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
