Job description

Licensed Professional Land Surveyor

EMH&T is currently looking for a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our Survey team based in Columbus, OH.

You will be involved in and responsible for the planning and completion of multiple survey projects and production of survey documents by working with office and field staff to ensure the final work product meets the client's scope, standards, and deadline.

EMH&T has the largest survey team in Central Ohio. Using Windows Mobile data collectors, conventional, servo and robotic instruments, geodetic GPS receivers (including real-time Kinematic surveying), our crews are equipped with the knowledge and the tools for every kind of horizontal and vertical land survey need.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage survey projects and production of survey documents.
  • Manage and direct the work of the survey team to meet client scope, standards, and deadline.
  • Provide estimations needed to prepare bid proposals and assist in establishing completion dates.
  • Prepare construction staking plans, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, right-of-way surveys, plats, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and engineering team on specifications and modifications during the execution of the project.
  • Engage in problem solving with municipal or utility companies in order to move a project forward.

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Ohio
  • 5-8 years of broad survey experience.
  • Experience managing and overseeing survey related tasks and projects.
  • Years of experience may be substituted for the Registration.
