Overview
The Agency of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician II. This position is responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting, and overtime may be required.
This is an entry-level position for maintenance work within the Agency of Transportation (VTrans) on the Bennington Team. The Transportation Operations Technician II, performs various laboring and semi-skilled tasks while being closely supervised by higher-level maintenance workers. As the Technician completes training and gains skills, greater work independence is expected. The Transportation Operations Technician II, also gains knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.
