Job Description

The Entertainment Coordinator will provide administrative support to two Comedy Development executives within the Universal Television Studio organization and serve as office liaison communicating with internal NBCU divisions as well as the external business and creative community.

Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities:

  • General administrative duties including but not limited to: answering telephones, scheduling meetings, planning all travel arrangements for executives, and compiling expense reports
  • Maintain submission log & other departmental documents
  • Assist in communication with the creative community on a daily basis
  • Conduct research on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, formats, talent and competitive environment
  • Distribute materials to internal and external parties as needed following strict protocols
  • Will be a team player and cover for other department assistants as needed

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year working within studio, network, agency or production company in an assistant capacity

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of Air Table, Adobe, Final Draft, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • Experience with Canva or other visual/deck-building programs is a plus
  • Knowledge of how the TV development process works and key players within the industry
  • Willingness to read and write coverage for available IP โ€“ scripts, books, articles, podcasts, etc.
  • Multi-task oriented, excellent organizational and time management skills, as position will assist high volume department
  • Flexible, personable, self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to interface with the creative community as well as all levels of NBCU staff
  • Team player who is willing to jump in to help when needed and has a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
