Job Summary
General Description of Position Goals:
The Instructional Math Coach is responsible for building teachers' capacity, to ensure diverse learners meet the demands of adopted Common Core State Standards and effective classroom implementation of math practices, including a focus on foundational math skills, math comprehension, conceptual understanding, procedural skills, and fluency that includes math expressions and application in the context of a Multi- Tiered System of Support (MTSS). The Instructional Math Coach will provide on-going academic classroom- based modeling, coaching, and mentoring; Plan, implement, and deliver high-quality professional development in Math; and support Professional Learning Communities
(PLC)/Grade Level or Content Level Teams inquiry, collaboration, and data analysis.
Additionally, the Instructional Math Coach may be asked to organize, manage, and document Math implementation plans as outlined by the site administration.
