Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Bilingual Spanish
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (DTLA)
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
Schedule
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM
Occasional rotating Saturday shifts may be required. If scheduled on a Saturday, another day off will be provided during the week to maintain a 40-hour work schedule.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a busy community-based dental clinic serving a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
This role supports dentists with clinical procedures, patient education, documentation, and front-office responsibilities to ensure a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the supervising dentist with approved extra-oral duties and procedures
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Take and record blood pressure readings
  • Operate dental X-ray equipment and perform oral photography
  • Set up treatment trays and prepare operatories for procedures
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
  • Educate patients and guardians regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
  • File, update, and maintain patient charts
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with appointment confirmations
  • Support clinic operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license issued by the Dental Board of California
  • Dental Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Dental Assisting experience
  • Experience working in a Community Health Center (CHC) or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
