Job description

An established organization is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to support credit risk, collections, and accounts receivable operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys analyzing customer creditworthiness, improving processes, reducing risk, and partnering with internal teams to resolve complex account issues. The position offers the opportunity to influence credit strategy while helping optimize cash flow and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer credit portfolios by evaluating credit risk, approving credit within established authority limits, monitoring exposure, and supporting collection efforts to maintain healthy accounts receivable.
  • Analyze financial data, identify delinquency trends, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding account issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements, assisting with system testing and implementation, and promoting best practices across the credit team.
  • Provide guidance to team members, assist with credit inquiries and order releases, support customer account reviews, and serve as backup to the Credit Manager when needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or 4+ years of progressive experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable.
  • Experience with electronic billing platforms such as ADP, Oildex, or EDI, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Power Query.
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and commercial credit tools such as D&B, Experian, HighRadius, or Get Paid.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Credit Business Associate (CBA) certification is a plus.
  • Experience participating in customer account reviews and cross-functional credit meetings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours.
Location: NW Houston - ONSITE
Salary: $50K - 65K (depending on expereinece)
Bonus: eligible for descretionary quartery bonus up to 10%
