Position Overview

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the efficient operation of the distribution center. The position involves receiving, storing, and shipping products accurately and timely manner, ensuring the warehouse operates with precision. This role requires a strong focus on safety, productivity, and attention to detail.


Job Duties

  1. Receiving and Unloading:
    • Unload incoming shipments from trucks, containers, or pallets.
    • Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report to the supervisor.
    • Verify shipment accuracy by checking packing slips and inputting data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Organize products in assigned warehouse locations.
    • Track inventory using WMS, ensuring accurate stock levels.
    • Assist in regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
  3. Order Picking and Packing:
    • Accurately pick products for outgoing shipments based on order details.
    • Pack items securely for shipping, ensuring the correct packaging materials are used.
    • Prepare and label shipments for delivery.
  4. Loading and Shipping:
    • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or containers safely and efficiently.
    • Ensure correct quantities and products are being shipped.
  5. General Warehouse Duties:
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other warehouse associates and departments to meet daily targets.
    • Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements to warehouse processes.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Great Attendance
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • The position is based in a warehouse environment, requiring standing for long periods and handling materials in varying temperatures.
  • Safety equipment (e.g., steel-toe boots, gloves) may be required.


Working Hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (may require weekend or overtime hours during busy seasons)
