Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for a flexible and dynamic work-life balance. While you will primarily interact with clients and team members through digital platforms, our outpatient office serves as a central hub for the organization, equipped with the resources necessary for comprehensive mental health care. You will utilize telehealth technologies as well as collaborative online systems to maintain efficient communication within our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of client needs, implementing individualized treatment plans that address specific mental health challenges and family dynamics.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a holistic approach to treatment, integrating medical history, psychosocial stressors, and community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary, applying knowledge of mental health conditions, trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, and child maltreatment strategies.
• Document detailed patient records, including psychological assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate team members on clients’ psychosocial issues to facilitate a collaborative environment and promote positive outcomes for families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele is diverse, often comprising individuals and families experiencing a range of mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with patients who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and other psychological issues. Your expertise will help empower these clients to find coping mechanisms and strategies for sustained mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
• A current and valid license to practice as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services to a diverse population, showcasing an understanding of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly with community resources and support services.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance documentation processes.
• Background in crisis management and intervention strategies tailored to mental health emergencies.

Compensation and Benefits
