This Job is Open Until Filled

One (1)  Full-time position (40 hours a week)

and one (1) Part-time position (up to 35 hours a week)


Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Transit Program Manager, successful applicants will inspect transit vehicles and transport passengers safely and efficiently on fixed route or on-demand public transit system, complete required paperwork as necessary Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect and operate Tribal Transit vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengers
• Assists passengers in boarding and alighting bus, operation of ramps and wheelchair lifts as necessary
• Assists in the loading and unloading of passenger baggage and other items as necessary
• Inspects and maintains Tribal Transit vehicles insuring safe operating conditions
• Maintain professional image and provide excellent customer service
• Assure that required fares are deposited in fare box and provide customer information as needed
• Maintain records and complete all required paperwork
• Comply with and promote safe practices in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws rules and guidelines. SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
• Must possess valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement and be eligible to be placed on the Tribe’s Insurance
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Pre and Post Trip inspections
• Must have and maintain excellent attendance record
• Must maintain positive and professional work environment
• Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen and DOT physical prior to offer of employment
• Must have a fingerprint clearance card or obtain one before hired
• Must pass a background check
• Position requires physical effort such as walking, lifting (up to 40 pounds), standing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, assisting passengers with bags, assisting passengers with
and securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices
• Position requires sitting for some length of time with constant head, arm, hand and foot movement
