Job description

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of the care and education of the children enrolled in his/her class
  • Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class in all areas of the facility
  • Assist with maintaining/updating student feed/activities in the LL communication program (Brightwheel)
  • Follow weekly lesson plans and goals outlined by the teacher
  • Be a team player. Interact and communicate consistently and positively with peers
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations
  • Assist in educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes
  • Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling
  • Assist in instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom
  • Supervising free time on the playground and in the classroom at all times
  • Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Assist with any classroom/age group when needed
  • Assist with food distribution and clean-up
  • Engage with children in age-appropriate activities
  • Foster a positive and healthy learning environment
  • Reporting issues/concerns/incidents to supervisor per LL expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Passionate about education and willingness to learn.
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • High school diploma/GED or in the process of obtaining
  • Unrestricted Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (prior to starting)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Food Handler card
