Job description

BASIS Phoenix is seeking qualified candidates for a Boy's Varsity Basketball Coach.

Season duration: November 2nd, 2026 - February 2027

This is part of an auxiliary program and is not a full-time position.

Pay: BASIS Ed offers a competitive hourly pay for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS diploma, Bachelor's preferred
  • Previous coaching experience
  • Experience working with young athletes
  • Ability to demonstrate basketball skills effectively
  • Experience in playing basketball at a competitive level
  • Ability to obtain a level one IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collegiate student-athlete experience

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively teaching young athletes the fundamentals of basketball
  • Creating and implementing drills to help build foundational skills
  • Coaching students through best practices in sportsmanship
  • Attending all games, practices, or scrimmages
