Position Summary
The Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day beverage operations at the convention center, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and compliance with all company, venue, and regulatory standards. This position supervises beverage staff across concessions, bars, premium hospitality areas, and catered events while maintaining inventory controls, product quality, and operational excellence. The Beverage Supervisor serves as a leader on event days and plays a key role in creating a positive guest experience for conventions, trade shows, banquets, and special events.
This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00-$35.00.

Oak View Group is proud to manage the food and beverage operations at the Palm Springs Convention Center, a premier destination for conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings, galas, and special events in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Through innovative culinary programs and exceptional hospitality, OVG delivers a diverse range of food and beverage experiences, including convention concessions, premium catering, banquet services, and customized event dining. Serving thousands of guests annually, the Palm Springs Convention Center offers team members the opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences while supporting world-class events and gatherings.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise beverage operations for concessions, bars, catered events, and premium hospitality functions.
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate beverage team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Assist with staffing assignments, scheduling, and event preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, responsible beverage service practices, and company policies.
  • Monitor beverage inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and storage procedures.
  • Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate product accountability.
  • Ensure all bars and beverage stations are properly stocked, clean, organized, and event-ready.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve service issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain sanitation, safety, and health standards in accordance with local regulations and company requirements.
  • Assist with cash handling procedures, POS operations, and end-of-event reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with culinary, concessions, catering, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Complete event reports, incident documentation, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in beverage operations, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, convention centers, stadiums, arenas, or similar high-volume venues.
  • Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Experience managing inventory and beverage controls preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Food Handler and Alcohol Service certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event needs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor event environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.
