Job description

At Seminole Trail Animal Hospital, we are looking for the right person to add to our team as a full-time veterinary receptionist. We want someone who loves animals and loves to provide awesome customer service to pet parents. We want a Receptionist who is proactive in caring for our clients, willing to help others, and is an upstanding example for others to follow.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients warmly in person and over the phone
  • Handle checking in and checking out clients
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Maintaining physical and computerized medical records
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Handle multi-line phones and computer scheduling software
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area/lobby

Qualifications:

  • Previous veterinary receptionist experience (1 yr. minimum)
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Candidate must be fluent in English, both written and spoken and have legible handwriting
  • Proficient in creating accurate and professional medical records
  • Experience in veterinary medicine and terminology a plus
  • Experience with Avimark preferred but not required

Typical schedule includes up to 4 full days (7:45am-6pm) and every other Saturday (7:45am-12noon). Every other Saturday is required.

Applicant must be 18 years or older, able to lift and carry 40 pounds, have the ability to be on feet for up to 10 hours a day, and be available to work weekends. Starting rate will depend on experience
