Responsibilities

  • Strategic Consulting: Lead client discussions and engagements around intelligent buildings program development. Firm understanding of the business drivers and the ability to map business needs to use cases and intelligent buildings technologies.

  • Project Leadership: Lead multiple complex projects from concept through completion. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, in-house engineers, and clients, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet all quality standards.

  • Mentorship & Guidance: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior Intelligent Buildings Consultants and engineers. Review and refine work produced by junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and innovation.

  • Innovation & Problem-Solving: Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies. Incorporate new technologies into project designs to enhance functionality and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in building control systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Background in leveraging technology in buildings to achieve business defined goals for clients with a proven track record in leading and managing complex projects.

  • Ability to mentor, guide, and inspire a team. Experience in coordinating and managing multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Understanding of the key concepts pertaining to building automation systems, IT networks, cybersecurity, and systems integration.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, to include senior client leaders as well as facilities operations personnel.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+years' consulting experience in the intelligent buildings industry. An engineering degree is a plus.

  • Experience in developing and delivering large complex intelligent building strategies and solutions to customers.

  • Experience in key areas of the building industry to include facility management, intelligent buildings consulting, intelligent buildings technology development, or senior level real estate management
