Job Description:
At Regions, the Home Improvement Financing Loan Application Reviewer is responsible for reviewing customer loan application, including the credit decision and verification documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance in their processing and relevant decisioning.
Regions Home Improvement Financing, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and independent contractors to provide Point-of-Sale financing capabilities. This enables these partners to provide homeowners with an additional option to pay for various improvements to their homes, benefitting both the contractor partner and the homeowner.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Reviews loan applications, including the credit decision and verification documentation to ensure accuracy in processing
  • Documents errors and reports findings to management
  • Aids in developing training and procedural recommendations to Lending Management based on accuracy figures
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and prepares tracking sheets on loan exceptions
  • Audits loan verifications

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of lending, documentation, quality, audit, or related experience

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated good judgement and professionalism in difficult situations
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of credit underwriting and documentation verification processes
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications

We are currently seeking a full-time Lending Loan Application Reviewer to join our team in either: Salt Lake City or Provo, UT. The schedule for this role will be an 8-hour shift between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with specific hours to be discussed during the interview process.
Highly Preferred Skills:
  • Prior Lending experience
  • Experience in quality assurance, quality control, audit, or loan review environments
  • Banking or financial services industry experience

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
