Site: Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Indian Head, MD

Duties:

  • Be responsible for physical security plans, procedures, and inspections.
  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with the physical security plan.
  • Advise on physical security matters, interpret security policies and regulations, conduct investigations of physical security violations, and conduct and oversee physical security inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • Conduct physical security inspections of primary areas, e.g., arms, ammunition, and explosives, and all other areas of the facility.
  • Prepare physical security inspection reports, note deficiencies, and make recommendations.
  • Review drawings and plans for new construction or modifications to existing structures for physical safeguards and adherence to security regulations.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance required for this position.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in military coursework associated with security management, Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), and associated areas. Six (6) years of demonstrated, progressively responsible experience with naval operations, organizations, systems, facilities, and management processes, OR
  • An Associateโ€™s Degree and ten (10) years demonstrated experience supporting security requirements associated with the operations of the Navy Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) community, national, regional, or command related Navy AT/FP, physical security, and related security requirements may be substituted for the Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • Demonstrated experience with Navy security programs, regulations, and instructions including: Two (2) or more years of experience performing Navy security functions and requirements as described above in the functions description.
