Appellation Lodi is seeking a full-time Event Specialist to coordinate weddings, meetings, and special events at our property. This position works closely with customers, guests, vendors, and all company departments to ensure successful event execution and an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, highly organized, sales-driven, and committed to building long-term client relationships while driving top-line revenue.
As an Event Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison between clients and operational teams to ensure seamless planning and execution of events that reflect the Appellation standards and ethos.
This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Job Responsibilites include but not limited to:
  • Meet with clients to plan and coordinate all aspects of weddings, banquets, meetings, and special events
  • Conduct property tours and showcase venue features, services, and event capabilities
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Meet and exceed departmental revenue goals through strategic upselling of menus, rentals, and services
  • Create detailed and accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate event details across departments
  • Coordinate all event logistics to ensure successful execution on the day of the event
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and vendors during events
  • Facilitate wedding rehearsals and ceremonies when applicable
  • Collaborate closely with Banquet Operations, Culinary, and Sales teams to ensure seamless service
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning process
  • Manage timelines, payment schedules, guest counts, and client communications
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and professionally
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners
  • Participate in trade shows, promotional events, and sales initiatives
  • Stay informed on hospitality trends, company policies, and industry best practices
  • Contribute creative ideas and recommendations to support departmental growth and innovation
