Superintendent - General Contractor

Highland Consulting Group is a leading nationwide recruiting firm specializing in placing exceptional construction professionals within commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.

We're collaborating with a prominent General Contractor firm to seek an adept Superintendent for the Weirton, WV area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium to large-scale, projects such as Commercial, Healthcare facilities, Schools, and Retail focusing on Foundations, Concrete, Carpentry, Interior work, and the entire building envelope. This is a full-time position primarily involving local projects with minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
  • Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
  • Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
  • Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
  • Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
  • Oversee and maintain quality control standards
  • Provide comprehensive daily work reports and progress photos
  • Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
  • Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
  • Act as the primary interface with project owners

Requirements:
