Job description


As a Security Officer- Full Time Access Control in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, verify badges and visitor activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. This role may include routine patrols, a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points and help control entry and exit for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or drivers by checking credentials, verifying authorization, and documenting site access activity.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, gates, parking areas, and shipping and receiving zones, while observing and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Support day-to-day access control operations by helping to deter unauthorized entry, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and completing required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
