Job description

Wittichen Supply Company is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Field Service Representative to serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to our contractor network.

This is a specialized role focused on advanced troubleshooting, VRF systems, and technical support โ€” not routine service work. You will work directly with contractors and manufacturers to solve complex issues, support product adoption, and improve jobsite performance.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Technical Troubleshooting & Field Support

  • Provide expert phone and on-site support for complex HVAC issues
  • Diagnose and resolve advanced system problems across residential and commercial equipment
  • Assist with VRF system commissioning and advanced diagnostics (Fujitsu focus)
  • Serve as the go-to expert for key product lines including Rheem, Fujitsu, Copeland, and others

Manufacturer & Warranty Liaison

  • Act as the primary link between contractors and manufacturer technical teams
  • Support warranty questions and non-standard issue resolution
  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers through training and certifications

Contractor Education & Sales Support

  • Lead training sessions for contractors and internal teams
  • Educate on installation best practices and advanced product usage
  • Support the sales team by removing technical barriers and driving adoption of complex equipment

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC service, technical support, or training
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems:
    • Residential and commercial systems
    • Heat pumps and packaged units
  • REQUIRED: Experience with VRF / ductless systems (commissioning + diagnostics)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently
  • Strong communication skills โ€” able to explain technical issues clearly
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and ability to travel throughout North Alabama

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay (based on experience)
  • Company vehicle, gas, and expenses covered
  • Company phone provided
  • Opportunity to work in a high-level technical role with industry leaders

Why Join Wittichen Supply

  • Established HVAC distributor with a strong industry reputation
  • Work directly with top manufacturers and advanced equipment
  • Step into a less physical, more technical advisory role
  • Be a key partner to contractors โ€” not just a supplier
