Job description

Promote Safe Operations to both office staff and driver force.

· On-call 24/7 for Terminal/Dispatch support.

· Scheduling both drivers & office staff (days, nights, wknds, holidays).

· Daily monitoring of dispatch function, fill in as Dispatcher when needed.

· Management of office staff members and drivers.

· Overseeing maintenance of inventory levels for several large accounts

· Assignment of equipment to driver force.

· Direct communication with customers regarding dispatch service.

· Responsible for Customer Care Program and compliance.

· Investigation of Customer Cargo Loss/Damage claims.

· Working closely with the Terminal Manager regarding budgetary goals.

· Maintaining budgeted Driver vs. Truck ratio.

· Training of new dispatchers.

· Ensure proper communications between dispatchers and shift changes.

· Other duties as assigned.

· ATM position is expected to train for 6 mos and willing to relocate as a Terminal Manager within one of our network locations.

Minimum 1-3 years of management experience required

· Minimum 2 years transportation and/or fuel experience required

· 2 year college degree preferred, but not required
