Job description

Who are we hiring?  

The Vice President Executive Search will lead full cycle recruiting for the Madison Square Garden family of companies. This role will be responsible for attracting and hiring executives at the director level and up, as well as any additional critical roles. The VP will partner with the SVP Talent on executive hiring priorities. They will be responsible for sourcing top talent, creating a pipeline of candidates for key roles in advance of position openings. When needed, the VP will lead and manage relationships with top executive search firms. The VP will engage and assess senior level candidates, acting as a brand ambassador throughout the recruiting process. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader of executive search who is results driven with a proven ability to lead teams, source, assess, and hire quality executives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.  

What will you do? 

  • Lead full life cycle recruiting for a broad range of positions from Director level to Executive Search for the Madison Square Garden family of companies. 
  • Develop and execute a best-in-class executive recruiting strategy aligned with the organization's long-term business objectives and culture.  
  • Implement creative sourcing strategies to fuel talent pipelines, build key networks, and create contemporary methods for tracking candidate research. 
  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance executive recruiting strategies and decision making.  
  • Create, lead, and execute the executive search process, govern and report on recruiting metrics, as well as search firm spend and cost avoidance.  
  • Provide an enhanced candidate experience, drawing top talent to our organization.    
  • Actively obtain feedback from key leaders on the execution of executive search processes and continuously identify and implement process improvements. 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site 

 What do you need to succeed? 

  • 15+ years executive recruiting experience. 
  • Strong history of producing quality hiring results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Strong ability to assess executive talent at multiple levels for skill and culture match.  
  • Comfortable working with all levels of C-Suite leaders 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written skills. 
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams. 
  • Proven ability to deliver a positive brand and candidate experience. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Familiarity with CRMs (e.g. Greenhouse) and experience with Excel.

Special Requirements: 

  • Travel as needed based on business priorities.
