Description
The Staff Accountant is a member of the accounting team and responsible for assisting in the accounting processes of the Rote Oil and other entities. Tasks include performing clerical tasks; processing and recording transactions, daily fuel reconciliation, bank reconciliations, preparing reports, account reconciliations, filing, and other duties, as needed. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and an eye for detail.
Requirements
Essential job duties:
  • Enter data into software
  • Process accounts payable invoices, record checks and EFTs.
  • Answer vendor inquiries regarding payment.
  • Reconcile different types of accounts
  • Reconcile daily fuel inventory
  • Assist in the Month Close Process
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Process journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties
  • Maintain an organized filing system for documents and reports
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by Management

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to learn new accounting software and use different accounting software.
  • Intermediate to advance skill level in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, & Excel) preferred.
  • Must be able to work within a fast paced team environment and complete projects as assigned.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively manage time and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize duties and use sound judgment.
  • Display strong interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with all individuals.
