Overview

The Senior QA Test Engineer SAP FTD plays a role in ensuring that solutions function correctly and are error-free by performing the verification and validation of product requirements and implementing quality assurance processes. This role involves monitoring and evaluating testing outcomes, collaborating closely with development teams, the Senior QA/Test Engineer executes moderate tests, including regression, functional, and performance tests for both new and existing functionalities. Analyzing moderate test results to recommend corrective actions is crucial, as is researching and implementing cutting-edge testing technologies, such as machine learning. Additionally, the Senior QA/Test Engineer mentors junior team members, supports architects in developing robust automation strategies, and generates scripts for automated testing. This role also involves developing, building, and supporting moderate systems that may have system-wide impact and coordinating this work across multiple teams to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality products.

Primary Responsibilities
  • A Senior QA expert responsible for validating complex SAP S/4HANA ForecasttoDeliver (FTD), Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management (TM) and Warehouse Management Integration (WMI) processes across greenfield implementations and large enterprise landscapes. 
  • This role ensures endtoend process quality, crossmodule integration integrity, and highquality delivery across all testing phases.
  • 5 + years of SAP QA experience with deep specialization in FTD, SCM, WM, WMI, or EWM.
  • Handson SAP S/4HANA experience (greenfield strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, supply chain planning, and logistics execution.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Handson involvement in S/4HANA greenfield implementations, including blueprint validation, functional design reviews, data migration testing, cutover readiness, and hyper care support.
  • Validate new S/4 processes, Fiori apps, and redesigned supply chain flows aligned with best practices.
  • Ability to lead test cycles, mentor junior QA analysts, and drive crossfunctional alignment.
  • Execute and validate integrations across MM,SD,WM, TM, FI/CO, and MDM/BTP(Basics)
  • Test endtoend flows involving production orders, purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, PGI, GR, and financial postings.
  • Validate integration with EWM decentralized or embedded, including queue monitoring, IDoc flows, and warehouse task confirmations.
  • Validate WMS/WES integrations with external systems (e.g., automation, conveyors, robotics, 3PL).
  • Execute on automation framework and tools to aid testing, operations, and maintenance of the data warehouse.
  • Execute test plans, design and develop test tools, debug and report code bugs, and push quality upstream.
  • Measure performance of various components (using simulated stress tests) and report any outliers/exceptions.
  • Contribute to testing strategy and architecture.
  • Work with Business Analysts to interpret testing needs as requirements are being developed.
  • Evaluate testability of business and technical requirements based on business/functional requirement document(s), use cases, user stories, and/or solution design documents.
  • Execute requirement/design reviews or sprint/release planning sessions.
  • Help perform impact analysis on changes to existing architecture, work processes, and systems.
  • Contribute to requirements traceability matrix.
  • Design, develop, and implement reusable components. 
  • Maintain new and existing object reference files.
  • Set up and maintain test environments for both manual and automated testing.
  • Monitor test environments establishing thresholds and alerts.
  • Ensure availability of data for testing.
  • Provide root cause analysis on defects and documented issues.
  • Test and troubleshoot IDocs, EDI, APIs, BAPIs, and middleware integrations (SAP CPI, PI/PO,KAFKA, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Experience with EDI, credit management, cash application, and bank statement processing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Solid knowledge of various types of testing, including functional, performance, and other non-functional tests.
  • Ability to write and review test cases.
  • Experience with OpenText ALM and Tricentis TOSCA.
  • Proven knowledge of coding practices, concepts, and design patterns to create maintainable test frameworks.
  • Proven knowledge of testing frameworks, tools, and test automation frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of automating CI/CD infrastructure, as well as the tools, languages, and file formats that inform tooling decisions in the testing strategy.
  • Demonstrated skills in performance and non-functional testing to understand how systems perform under specific conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Typically, 3+ years of quality assurance testing, or other relevant roles work experience.
  • Extensive experience using testing frameworks, tools, and test automation frameworks.
  • In-depth familiarity with software development, testing practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
  • Experience in DevOps and Agile technology environments.
