Job description

  • Carry out experiments independently to determine dysregulation in RNA binding protein network and RNA metabolism in iPSC models of ALS/FTD.
  • Carry out NextGen sequencing experiments and data analysis to determine epigenetic and transcriptomics changes in iPSC models of ALS/FTD.
  • Carry out experiments independently to test the effect of pharmacological and genetic manipulations on correcting dysfunction of iPSC neurons.
  • Organize lab notebook, analyze data, prepare group meeting presentations, and write manuscripts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform biochemistry and cell biology biology experiments independently.
  • Ability to perform NextGen sequencing experiments and data analysis.
  • Ability to organize research lab notes and analyze research results.
  • Ability to present data in group meetings and conferences.
  • Ability to write manuscripts and potentially fellowship applications.
