Role Overview
We're looking for a seasoned Technical Marketing Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping how Nile's story is conveyed to customers, prospects, partners, and the broader market. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, hands-on demonstration and storytelling-able to translate complex concepts into compelling proofs-of-concept, product demos, and sales enablement material that demonstrates exactly how a technology solves real-world problems.
They will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Partner teams to define compelling positioning and differentiation, go-to-market content, and narratives that fuel customer adoption and company growth.
Responsibilities
Narratives & Storytelling: Craft compelling visual narratives for customers, prospects, and partners that connect technical innovation to business outcomes.
Demo & Content Development: Own the creation of key marketing assets including product demonstrations, explainer videos, sales playbooks, and hands-on labs.
Sales Enablement: Partner with Sales and Channel teams to build whitepapers, design guides and presentations that equip field teams to effectively sell Nile's solutions.
Market Intelligence: Stay close to customer pain points, market dynamics, and competitive trends to ensure messaging remains relevant and differentiated.
Competitive Analysis: Evaluate competitor offerings to understand technical advantages, limitations, and pricing structures
Collaboration: Work side-by-side with Product Marketing, Product Managers and Engineering teams to align on roadmap priorities, proof points, and technical validation.
Product Launches: Create technical collateral and enablement material through benchmarks, interoperability and operational workflows
Events & Tradeshows: Staff Nile and partner events and tradeshows as needed. Travel may be required
Qualifications
3 to 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical marketing, or systems engineering role working with wired/wireless/security deployments. Familiarity with operational issues across Day 0, 1 and 2 would be very beneficial.
• Strong background in infrastructure technology-preferably wired and/or wireless networking, security, or cloud.
• Conversant in AI tools to amplify productivity.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
• Proven experience building compelling visual content and demonstrations.
• Success developing marketing content and sales collateral that drives adoption and revenue.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in high-growth or startup environments.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work out of our San Jose, CA office at least 4-days a week
