What Will You Be Doing?

  • Responsible for all aspects of developing and maximizing the financial, analytical and operational performance of Frontier’s Group Sales, Block Space, and Agency Support functions with some associated analytical support of the company’s new Charter Sales Program. Manager will work closely with external customers as well as internal company leaders from Network Planning, Pricing/Revenue Management, and Flight Operations teams to build comprehensive financial profitability models, then plan, schedule, and optimize group and blocked-space bookings while closely monitoring performance metrics to maximize revenue. Manager will also play a key role in developing the internal data reporting structures supporting Frontier’s Agency, Group, and Charter Sales, and other third-party related sales products, with a focus on actionable data that supports world-class customer service and enhanced profitability for Frontier.    Since speed to market is an essential competitive advantage, this manager will be charged with exploring, evaluating and promoting enhancements and cost-effective moves that automate much/most/all of the processes associated with these lines of business.

 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and collaborate to deploy tools for product pricing and revenue management systems, for key lines of business and effective alignment with associated distribution channels.
  • Lead continuous improvement processes with associated revenue management systems, including ongoing model training/re-training and validation, A/B testing of potential system enhancements, and overall configuration and optimization.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned product categories deploying revenue management algorithms, enhancing the broader team’s understanding of each product’s revenue management objectives and competitive analysis.
  • Drive optimal revenue performance by employing data science to analyze pricing and inventory strategies in these new business lines; evolve systems strategy and configuration as necessary in response to changes in the competitive and demand environment.
  • Collaborate with frontline pricing & revenue management leadership to prioritize and deliver against system-driven revenue improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technology leadership to craft the development roadmap as related to pricing & revenue management tools, systems and automation.
  • Lead and develop a nimble, competitive, high-performing, and innovative team.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, forecasting, data analysis and synthesis of Frontier’s Group Sales, Charter Sales and third-party sales related to key strategic sales partners such as Apple Leisure Group, as well as other targeted wholesale distributors.
  • Integrate comprehensive variables to model, build, monitor and update analytical platforms that drive actionable activities from these internal data reporting structures supporting Frontier’s Travel Agency Sales, Group Sales, Charter Sales and other third-party related sales products with a focus on actionable data that supports maximum profitability for Frontier.  The manager will be challenged to build and utilize key metrics to monitor performance and eventually automate as many of the supporting processes as practicable.
  • Review and refine analytical and performance models using statistical methods and tools to deliver ongoing reports for team members, distribution leadership, Finance and other senior company leaders.
  • Evaluate and update database access, inputs and analysis programming.
  • Access and report on the financial performance of each assigned sales product line
  • Utilize technical expertise to investigate performance deltas and systematically address issues and discrepancies within and between Frontier’s internal platform and external GDS sources.

 

Other Functions

  • Manager will serve as subject matter expert, product champion and liaison with external customers as well as company stakeholders who play a supporting role with these initiatives including (but not limited to) Project Management Teams, Network Planning, Pricing and Revenue Management, Airport Customer Service, System Operations Control and more.   Manager will occasionally be required to travel to meet with clients as well as to support other company projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Manager will lead Frontier’s inside sales team to support, coach, train and instill the highest level of customer service and professionalism in all email communications with travel agencies, group coordinators, charter organizers and all internal Frontier Airlines contacts.
  • Manager will closely monitor the industry for evolving trends, new business opportunities and play a key role in driving the field sales team to apply data analytics to gauge the effectiveness of current products as well as help quantify new business opportunities as well as assist with the development of compelling sales messaging, tools and presentations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration or similar.  Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, account management/partnerships or similar areas
  • 2 years of leadership or managerial experience
  • 2+ years of Pricing & Revenue Management preferred
  • Competency with other analytical tools such as Zenz, DEIO and SkySpeed
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple team members and/or contractors.
  • Working knowledge of airline pricing and revenue management
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with multiple vendors and partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to participate in the annual budget process and establish revenue and expense forecasts.
  • Working knowledge of airline sales, schedule planning and contracting
  • Strong spreadsheet construction, manipulation, and reporting skills required.
  • Data query, formatting and modeling skills preferred.
  • Willing and able to travel as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Highly adept with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Programming skills preferred with practical knowledge of SQL, R or Python a plus.
  • Ability to write code to query against disparate data sources.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and quickly adapting strategies and/or tactics or priorities based on evolving business needs.
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with other departments, partners and marketers.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-starter, have a sense of urgency and extremely well-organized.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must exercise sound business judgment and handle confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Must be a team player with ability to work on several projects at a time.
  • Broad understanding of consumer databases and customer analytics
  • Insightful and creative problem solver who has a deep understanding of Frontier’s business model who integrates Frontier’s ULCC culture and philosophy into all of our products and programs while building innovative sales products to meet evolving customer demands.
