Job Description:
We're hiring for a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to work in Reston, VA with Cydecor's MARS Infrastructure Team. As part of the Agile software development team, this role develops solutions mainly using frontend technologies, such as Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript with a good understanding of backend services and data sources. The ideal candidate is familiar with the Agile software development life cycle from user requirement generation to automated tests and deployment. Telework is optional with mandatory onsite days during implementation and testing to support onsite tasks. Due to the nature of the role, only U.S. Citizens may be considered.
Responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel mission
  • Troubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issues
  • Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
  • Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
  • Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements
  • Efficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developers
  • Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to achieve the best collaborative working environment
  • Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
  • Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
  • Support grooming of user stories, breakdown development tasks and estimate level of effort

Here's what you need:
  • 6+ years of experience as Software Engineer developing distributed software applications using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks
  • Experience with frontend technologies, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and Angular
  • Experience with Linux, Git, and Artifactory
  • Deep understanding and experience developing frontend microservices
  • Strong understanding and knowledge in API best practices
  • Strong data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in Agile development technologies
  • Experience developing secure software systems based upon industry specifications
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in software development supporting DoD and/or IC
  • Experience working with Eslint, Vuetify, Vue Composition, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack Query, Axios, VitePress, and TyepDoc
  • Experience with frontend unit testing tools, such as Jest, Vitest, and Jasmine
  • Experience with Python and Java
  • Experience working with Webpack 5, Vite, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Keycloak, OAuth2, JWT, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, ELB, etc.) and Azure
  • Familiar and used security and code quality tools like SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, and Fortify
  • Has worked in a DevOps model and delivered code through CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience developing customized code for multiple projects simultaneously

Security Clearance:
  • Active TS (must be able to upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly)

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits:
The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000-185,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location/schedule, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
