Job Description
The Front End Lead, Ecommerce serves as the liaison between staff and management to ensure that the Front End Department and its Ecommerce operations run as efficiently as possible. Reports to the Front End Manager.
  • Assists in supervising the Front End team to ensure optimal performance and guest experience
  • Oversees prompt and accurate fulfillment of online orders through platforms such as Instacart and Mercato
  • Answers enquires about online orders and provides information on products
  • Confirms and locks customers' orders and communicates fulfillment timelines
  • Handpicks items on customers' lists; scans using a handheld mobile device; runs items through the checkout counter and pays for them through cash or credit/debit cards
  • Collects cash, checks, or charge payments from guests and provides change and charge vouchers if needed
  • Verifies employee discounts, returns, exchanges, and voids
  • Ensures accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks, and charge payments at end of shift
  • Processes and monitors currency orders to ensure that cash is always available for transactions
  • Maintains an accurate safe count along with daily operation and maintenance of a cash recycling machine
  • Documents and communicates overages, shortages, sales data, price changes, and technical or price discrepancies, communicating issues to the appropriate managers and departments
  • Orders and monitors inventory of supplies needed for the Front End
  • Returns carts and baskets to their central distribution areas, takes back go-backs/damages, fixes displays, and helps restock
  • Does regular checks of inventory with Retail Department Heads to update digital platforms as needed
  • Delegates to, motivates, trains, and mentors Front End Cashiers to promote their development
  • Documents, investigates, escalates, and resolves employee or guest incidents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience as a supervisor in a retail setting, with experience leading a cashier team preferred
  • Ability to handle money accurately and perform mathematical equations
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain organized in a hands-on, fluid environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Job Requirements
  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting

Compensation: Pay rate is set at $21 an hour.
