About the role:

As a Process Development Intern, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop manufacturing processes to create innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices. We partner with R&D on the front end of projects, innovate to determine how to make a design come to fruition and partner with Operations to launch life-saving devices into the market that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world.    

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Responsible for the integrity and content of Process Plans with respect to materials used in processing and sequencing of tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes 
  • Design, fabricate and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback 
  • Conduct process characterization experiments and Process Validation to determine optimal settings to be used in device manufacturing
  • Investigate and recommend new technology to be utilized to create medical devices  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must graduate between Fall 2027 – Spring 2028
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Chemical Engineering
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
  • Must have prior Process Development engineering intern experience from Boston Scientific
  • Must have a minimum of 0-1 year of engineering work experience in MedTech

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams  
  • Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions    
  • Previous internship or co-op experience

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
